Mount Robson (3954 m)

Berg Lake Trail, Fraser-Fort George H, BC V0E, Canada

Description:

Cloudtop, Snowcap, Yun-hai-has-kun and finally Robson Peak are all names of the same mountain. The official name was given to her by Colin Robertson, who in the early XIX century worked for a company engaged in the fur trade.

Mount Robson is characterized by a vertical structure of the relief and clearly stands out above the surrounding rocky terrain. All its slopes are clearly visible: the southern - from the Yellowhead highway, and the northern - from the shore of Lake Berg.

The statistics of climbing Mount Robson are very low - only 10% of the expeditions were successful. Although the mountain is below 4,000 meters, there are no easy or accessible routes to the top. In addition, bad and unpredictable weather conditions thwart most climbing attempts.
