Alberta Aviation Museum
11410 Kingsway, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
About the company:
The Alberta Aviation Museum is located in a hangar built in 1940-1941. Initially, the hangar was built for maintenance of civil aviation aircraft. After the United States entered World War II, it was used to serve the United States Air Force. In the postwar years, Edmonton Airport was located here.
The museum now features about 50 aircraft and exhibits that tell the story of Northern Alberta’s aviation. Visitors have the opportunity to feel like a real pilot, sitting in the cockpit of one of the aircraft.
The museum still restores models of old aircraft, and the collection is constantly replenished.
