Canyon Creek Ice Cave

Bragg Creek, Canada

Description:

Creek Canyon is a small ice cave made of limestone located in Kananaskis Country, near Bragg Creek. It was discovered by Stan Fullerton in 1905. Located just twenty minutes west of the city of Calgary, the Ice Cave is a popular tourist route for visitors of all ages.

From the parking lot to the cave there is a rather long walking road along which tourists prefer to travel by bicycle. The cave was formed primarily under the influence of the flow of water and significantly expanded due to large-scale freezing. Similar types of caves are often found in Canada. Inside you can see bizarre ice sculptures, frozen waterfalls. The grotto has a large amount of loose rock, caution should be exercised inside, a flashlight should be taken with you.
