McHugh Bluff Park

Along Crescent Rd. NW, Calgary, Canada

Description:

McHugh Bluff Park is located on the northern side of the Canadian Bow River. The park is quite far from the city center on a steep slope. Because of this location, it was inaccessible to local residents for a long time. In 2004, on the initiative of entrepreneur Felix McHugh, construction work began in the McHugh Bluff Nature Park.

Now the park is very popular with both ordinary passers-by and professional walkers and runners. McHugh Bluff Park has the highest point from which you can see the whole city. Its observation deck attracts both local residents and guests of the country. A particularly beautiful view from here opens at night in Calgary. From this site down into the city leads a steep staircase.

Herbs and shrubs grow on both sides. Many of them were brought to this area. There are also growing along the cliff willow, ash, poplar. There are birds in McHugh Bluff Park. Often here you can see flying forty, nuggets and woodpeckers.
