Park Tomkins

820 - 17 Ave SW, Calgary, Canada

Description:

Tomkins Park was opened in 1915 on lands donated by Henry and Eleanor Tomkins and stretches along 17 Avenue, the city’s most populous and visited neighborhood.

In fact, the park is more like an alley or an elongated square because of its shape and small area. The total area of the park is not more than 3000 square meters. The park has benches, public toilets and other mandatory attributes inherent in public walking areas.

In parallel with the park, fashionable shops, cafes and various entertainment venues stretch along 17 Avenue, so most visitors to the park are buyers who want to walk in the fresh air after shopping or just take a breath on one of the benches.
