Museum of Creative Children
220 St Georges Drive NE, Calgary, Canada
About the company:
Young artists, scientists, craftsmen or adventurers will always find something to do at the Museum of Creative Children, which opened in Calgary in 2006.
The Creative Children’s Museum is the first museum of its kind in western Canada that was conceived as giving children the opportunity to explore all arts and express themselves and their creativity.
Young children enjoy spending time here exploring the ice structure, creating dams, ponds and interactive waterfalls on the playground. The museum offers a variety of playful and creative opportunities for children under nine, such as assembling huge figures from wooden blocks or creating moving toys from designers. Using the mass of material available in the museum, children can create their own creations or take part in collective development.
Every few weeks, regional artists are invited to the museum, who show children the basics and techniques of artistic skills, hold exhibitions and demonstrate their artistic talents.
