Holy Trinity Temple

31 Rue Des Jardins, Quebec, QC G1R 3Y9, Canada

Description:

The Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in the Canadian city of Quebec is the cathedral of the diocese. The cathedral was built in 1830, a few years after the formation of the diocese. It was the first Anglican cathedral built outside the British Isles. The architectural project is based on the appearance of the Church of St. Martin, which is located in Trafalgar Square in London. Funding was provided by King George III, who presented the cathedral with unique editions of the Bible and prayer books.

The cathedral is built in the neoclassical style of Palladio. Its bell tower is decorated with eight unique bells, which are the oldest bells in Canada. The Holy Trinity Cathedral is a National Historic Monument.
