Artillery Park

2 Rue d'Auteuil, Quebec, Canada

Description:

Artillery Park, located in the Latin Quarter of the Canadian city of Quebec, is a complex of military buildings built in the XVII – XIX centuries.

There are three buildings on the territory of the park: the Dauphin redoubt, built in 1712, during the French regime, the Headquarters of British Officers (worked from 1818 to 1871) and the Foundry Arsenal (worked from 1903 to 1964). During World War II, thousands of Canadians worked in the arsenal, providing ammunition to the Canadian army.

On a tour of the Artillery Park you can learn about the life of soldiers in the barracks and get acquainted with the three-century history of buildings located on its territory.

Tourists can take part in the animation activities of the park.
