Quebec City

Park du Domain-Howard

1300, boul. Portland, C.P. 610, Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada

Description:

One of the city parks of Sherbrooke is a magnificent green area for recreation. Every year, with the arrival of the summer season, it is decorated with thousands of flowering plants, from which whole picturesque canvases are formed. Green trees, a beautiful pond, flower paintings delight the eyes of citizens.

The park has several interesting buildings of the early 20th century. Their architecture is eclectic and even somewhat pretentious, but fully reflects the British style of architecture that was popular at the time.

Walking in the park is popular at any time of the year. In the summer, musical concerts are often arranged here, in the winter an ice rink is poured on the pond. Part of the park is given to garden greenhouses, where rare plants are grown, which will be appreciated by specialists and lovers of botany.
