Vio Bridge
Description:
The Vio Bridge is one of Quebec’s many attractions. Built in 1847 from wood, then in 1962 reconstructed from reinforced concrete. It is part of route 335 (north-south direction of Montreal), traffic on it is carried out in 4 lanes. Every day, 36,000 motorists cross the bridge.
In August 2007, a large crack was discovered in the bridge, which stretched along the boulevard Laurentides (Laval). The inspection showed that the bridge had no structural changes or damage, and traffic on the bridge was resumed on the same day. Currently, this place attracts the attention of many tourists from different parts of the world.
