Charlton Island

Baffin, Unorganized, Nunavut, Canada

Description:

On the territory of the Canadian Arctic archipelago, one of the largest archipelagos in the world, is Charlton Island. Many people dreamed of getting to a deserted island, where you can escape from the stuffy metropolis.

In its topography, the island is unremarkable, low, only in some places there are elevations of about 40 meters above sea level. Wetlands appeared due to low relief and poor drainage in the center and west of the island.

It is filled with calm, thoughtful silence. Nature has created its own natural path: in the northern part of the island is washed by James Bay and is a stopover for migratory birds from the Arctic. It's beautiful.
