Madawaska River
20 Avenue Cotou, Edmundston, Canada
Description:
Madawaska is a relatively small river with a length of only 37 kilometers. At the same time, its functionality affects not only the boundaries of the province of Quebec, where it begins its course, but also for dozens of other cities. Starting from the provincial Lake Temiscuata, Madawaska flows into the St. John River, being its left tributary.
Madawaska is an important transport artery consisting of a trans-Canadian highway that connects the country's 10 provinces. The federal-provincial highway network runs partly along the coast of Madawaska. It is also important that at the end of the XIX century a railway was built here.
