Description:

In the Canadian city of Troyes Rivières in the province of Quebec is the Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is the main cathedral of the diocese of Troyes Riviera. The first church on this site was built in the early XVIII century. Over time, it dilapidated and in its place was built a new stone temple designed by architect Victor Burgo. He took as a model the appearance of the Church of St. Peter in Montreal and the Church of the Holy Trinity in New York.

Montreal artist Guido Ninquieri was invited to create the stained glass windows. In 1992, an organ was installed in the cathedral. It can be heard during the weekly Sunday service and during specially organized concerts.
