Sherbrooke Museum of Fine Arts
241 rue Dufferin, Sherbrooke, Canada
About the company:
The Museum of Fine Arts in Sherbrooke was founded in 1982. Its main task is to identify, research and preserve fine art samples of eastern Canada.
The museum occupies a fairly large area - three floors - in a prestigious 19th century building in the city center. All space is given to exhibition halls. In the near future, it is planned to make a public and special art library at the museum, which stores many historical documents and thematic literature. The museum also has a shop where you can buy works by local artists.
The collection of the museum is divided into several subsections: the works of the authors of the eastern districts of Canada, the works of artists who were inspired by the work of the eastern outskirts of the country and samples of international so-called "primitive" or "naive" art. Among other things, works by well-known local authors are exhibited.
