Kildonan Park

2021 Main St, Winnipeg, MB, Canada

Description:

Kildonan Park was founded in 1909 in Winnipeg. It has 39 hectares of land in the park area and 25 hectares of peatland.

In this resting place there is a huge outdoor pool, a duck pond and a football field, as well as picnic tables and barbecue. In winter, sleigh slides are equipped here.

The park also has Canada’s longest outdoor theater. It can accommodate 2,600 people.

The park has a pavilion built in 1960, where you can relax by visiting the kitchen or restaurant.

Another attraction of the park is the Witch's Cabin, which illustrates the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm - such as, for example, Hansel and Gretel. The hut contains a relief of terracotta panels depicting the fairy tale in successive scenes.
