About the company:
The Western Canadian Aviation Museum is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It is the second largest aviation museum in Canada.
The museum was founded in 1974 and has since evolved into a legacy dedicated to preserving and promoting Canada’s aviation history.
The aircraft at the exhibition reflect the history of aviation in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Canada and include samples of transport, military, private and commercial aircraft.
The museum also houses a large library, which is one of the largest in the country. It is open to the public and visitors have the opportunity to see photos, films and audio recordings related to aviation.
There is also a restoration department where many curved and broken aircraft can be returned to normal. For example, a team of volunteers in May 2002 created a full-scale replica of the Canadian aircraft Vedette Vickers Mark V (CF-MAG). The museum also contributed to the restoration of the Ghost of Charron Lake aircraft.
In addition, the building has an exhibition of aviation simulators and other aviation memorabilia.
