Museum of Human and Nature
140-172 Rupert Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
About the company:
The Museum of Manitoba, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, opened in 1965. It occupies a modern six-story building in the city center near the Red River. The museum is the largest center of natural heritage in the province and presents the history of the development of the connection between man and the environment.
The museum houses a virtual underwater observatory that introduces visitors to the multimillion-dollar history of sea life. Here you can see the remains of trilobites - an extinct class of marine arthropods. Among the exhibits of the museum is a full-size copy of the ship, whose journey in 1668 led to the creation of the Hudson’s Bay Company, and a gallery of paintings that depict the streets of the city of the early XX century.
The main part of the collection of the Museum of Man and Nature consists of exhibits representing the diverse fauna of the country: taiga, Arctic and subarctic zones. The museum has a Planetarium and a Science Gallery with interactive exhibits.
