Montreal

Old hospital

138 Rue Saint Pierre, Montr al, QC H2Y, Canada

Description:

Within the boundaries of Old Montreal, only a few buildings remained, erected before the eighteenth century. One of them that can not be ignored is the old main hospital of Montreal, built in 1693.

The hospital lasted until 1980, and its lifelong focus was on supporting the poorest. The structure is fascinating with its rough roughness of walls, which are made of rubble, and then covered with plaster. It is exciting that this art was passed on to his son from his father, so the building has no architect. Since 1981, the hospital has been a historic monument in Canada.
