Fountain of Struggle
Canada, Montr al, Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle
Description:
The Fountain of Struggle is located in Montreal, in the center of a square called Jean-Paul-Riopelle. The creator of this bronze masterpiece is Canadian artist Jean-Paul Riopel, who presented his work to the public in 1969. The bronze monument represents figures of incomprehensible forms in the center and on the sides - figures of animals and people.
This Fountain of Struggle refers to unusual fountains created in the world. And the “unusual” of it consists in the magnificent show, which takes place daily from 19:00 to 23:00. The presentation lasts 30 minutes and is repeated in the specified time period.
From the fountain of Struggle begins to beat a stream of water. Then there is steam, slowly enveloping the entire area. After its dispersion, the ring covers the statue with fire and it burns for 7 minutes. The viewers have the impression that the fire originates from the water. This small display leaves an impression for quite a long period of time.
