Park Angrignon

3400 des Trinitaires Blvd, Montreal, Canada

Description:

Angrignon is a beautiful city park, one of the largest in Montreal. The park is located in the southern part of the city and is a favorite place for citizens to relax.

The park is named after the famous politician Jean-Baptiste Angrignon, who was long the mayor of Montreal. The total area of Angrignon Park is 97 hectares, with most of the territory covered by dense forest through which pedestrian and bicycle paths are laid. More than 20,000 trees grow in the park, and in the center of this green zone there is a picturesque pond overgrown with reeds.

Angrignon Park is very aesthetic - it was modeled after English gardens of the 19th century, and its appearance was carefully thought out by landscape architects. A local attraction of the park is Angrignon Farm, a small children's zoo founded in 1990. More than 20 species of animals live on the farm, which are even allowed to be fed by hand to the delight of children.
