Ramsay Castle

280 Rue Notre-Dame Est, Montr al, QC H2Y 1C5, Canada

Description:

In the vicinity of Old Montreal is the incredible beauty of Ramsay Castle, bearing the name of the Governor of Montreal - Claude de Ramsay. It was built as a residence for the governor in 1705. Today, the castle is the oldest museum, which is undoubtedly worth a visit.

Unfortunately, the building underwent a number of restoration works that were required to recreate the original appearance. The castle tower, built in 1903, fascinates with its beautiful architecture, and cannot but cause admiration. The building is the first historical monument of the Government of Quebec.
