Montreal Museum of Modern Art
185 Sainte Catherine Street, Montreal, Canada
About the company:
The Montreal Museum of Modern Art was founded in 1964 by the government of Quebec. In 1983 it became an independent organization. After a long move, in 1992 the museum settled on the Place des Arts.
More than 7,000 works of contemporary Canadian and foreign artists are collected here. Special attention will be paid to the works of local Quebec masters. Also, there is a large information base: all kinds of publications about contemporary art, a database of about 5000 artists, a collection of exhibits in digital form. Private collections are constantly displayed.
Entrance costs 8 Canadian dollars. Wednesdays at certain hours are free.
