Museum of Canadian Railways

110, rue Saint-Pierre, Saint-Constant

About the company:

The Canadian Railway Museum is located in the southern suburbs of Montreal. There are more than 250 thousand exhibits dedicated to the history of this type of transport.

Canada is a country whose history is inextricably linked with the development of vast territories through the creation of new railway routes. In the depot of the city of Saint-Constant, a museum was created, in which the most famous steam locomotives, diesel locomotives and carriages that plowed the expanses of the country during the entire XX century are collected.

In the Canadian Railway Museum you can see dozens of different types of steam and electric locomotives, many cars and technical trains. It is noteworthy that any of the exhibits can be viewed even from the inside. A walk around the museum can take up to three hours, there are many fascinating objects, each of which bears the imprint of history. Among the most entertaining exhibits can be noted the old locomotive Royal Hudson 1938.

On Sundays, a convenient mini-express runs throughout the museum, connecting several depots and the main pavilion, where the main part of the documentary exhibition is located.
