Centennial Lilac Garden

14004 Niagara Parkway, Queenston, Canada

Description:

Centennial Lilac Garden, created in 1967 to celebrate the Year of Canada, is located near the Lewiston-Queenston International Bridge.

The garden stretches over an area of over ten acres and contains a collection of more than 1,200 different plants of two hundred different varieties. The garden is most attractive in the second half of May, when all the local plants begin to bloom and smell.

In the immediate vicinity of the garden is the famous "flower" clock, which is a tourist attraction. Built in 1950, the clock is one of the largest in the world - the diameter of the dial is more than 12 meters, and the floral "face" of the watch changes twice a season.
