Park Ballantine
Description:
The lands for Ballantyne Park were donated to the city by the family of James Ballantyne. This is a very small park, the size of no more than a hundred square meters. It is on the north side of Hawthorne Avenue in the aisle between the antique shops of Donoghue and Busquet. This is a cozy corner of nature in the city. There are two small ponds around which there are picnic tables and arbors surrounded by flowers.
Ballantyne Park is known for its lighting. Three old gas lamps are installed along the main alley of the park. For many years of its existence, they have become a real dream collector of antiques. As before, they are lit by a special person - a lamplighter, and the district administration has allocated a special gas network for their work.
