Billings Bridge

Ottawa, ON K1H 7X9, Canada

Description:

The Billings Bridge crosses the Rideau Canal, a continuation of Bank Street. The bridge was named after the landowner Braddish Billings, who lived in the area in the middle of the XIX century. On the shore was his farm, and for a long time the bridge was called simply "Farmers Bridge".

This part of the city until 1950 was considered a village, and became part of the city of Ottawa recently. Billings Bridge is the best guide and landmark for those who want to get to one of the largest shopping centers in the city - "Billings Bridge Plaza".
