Champlain Bridge

Place Samuel de Champlain, Ottawa, ON, Canada

Description:

Champlain Bridge is the westernmost of Ottawa’s bridges. It crosses the Ottawa River 5 km west of Parliament Hill. Four steel spans of the bridge pass exactly over the islands of Riopel, Cunningham and Bate. In addition to three car lanes, it has two wide sidewalks for pedestrian traffic, so you can often find groups of tourists with cameras on the Champlain Bridge. The bridge is the longest crossing of the Ottawa River in the country.
