The Wyatt Family Historic House Museum
75 Spring, Summerside, PE C1N 4K4, Canada
About the company:
Founded in 1867, the house-museum tells the story of a two-century collection of intriguing artifacts collected by the Wyatt family, their lives and, of course, ghosts. The building of the museum is distinguished by a combination of various architectural styles, including Greek and neo-Gothic.
It is located on Prince Edward Island. Its history is connected with many prominent locals, for example, three Prime Ministers of Canada visited here: Robert L. Borden, Arthur Meehan and R. B. Bennett, also owned by one of the most prominent residents of the island - Miss Vanda Lefergie White, who became the first woman to study law, as well as the first businesswoman.
Currently, the building is valuable as a historical house-museum, telling about the history of Summerside and Prince Edward Island. In addition, the building is interesting for its architecture, which includes various styles. Elements of these styles were added in different years of the existence of the house and reflected the taste and needs of its owners.
