Botanical Garden in Toronto
777 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto, Canada
Description:
The Toronto Botanical Garden was established in 1958 by the Garden Club. This charitable organization, registered in 1946, is engaged in active greening of Toronto parks, streets and gardens.
The Botanical Garden has a large number of rare flowers and plants. Garden workers not only take care of their plants, but also arrange various exhibitions, contests and flower festivals.
The purpose of the Botanical Garden was to show children that it is not only important, but also interesting to love nature and take care of it. The garden has individual plots, with raised wheelchair beds, so that everyone can experience the full joy of growing and harvesting their flowers and vegetables. There are also gardening courses for deaf, dumb and blind people.
