Small Church of the Holy Trinity

417 King St. E., Toronto, Canada | (at Parliament St.)

Description:

The Little Church of the Holy Trinity is the parish evangelical Anglican Church of Canada, located east of downtown Toronto. The Gothic temple was erected in 1844, making it the oldest surviving church building in the capital. The architect of the church was twenty-five-year-old Henry Boyer Lane, an emigrant from England. In 1889, the church was enlarged to provide an additional 600 seats for parishioners.

Church services, held for more than a century and a half, include a sermon from the Holy Scriptures, Sunday school and youth programs. The church sent out several missionaries around the world.
