Colborn Lodge House Museum
Colborne Lodge Dr., Toronto, Canada | (at the Queensway)
About the company:
The Colborn Lodge House Museum is a local history museum located in the home of surveyor John George Howard, who built this cottage in 1836 on his estate.
It was the first building of this type built in Canada. The building was named after Sir John Colborn, who served as Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada from 1828-1836.
Nowadays, the building is a museum and is at the disposal of the City Hall of Toronto. The museum presents samples of furniture of the XIX century, as well as paintings by John Howard himself.
