Van Dusen Botanical Garden
5251 Oak St., Vancouver, Canada
Description:
The Van Dusen Botanical Garden began its history in 1972 and now has an area of 22 hectares. Named after Vancouver resident Whitford philanthropist industrialist Julian Van Dusen, the garden opened its gates in 1975 and is now open permanently except for Christmas.
The main emphasis of the workers of the botanical garden is on the cultivation and demonstration of decorative plants. 255,000 plants from almost all countries of the world were found in the garden.
Particularly striking to each visitor is the clear organization of luxurious flora: the garden is divided into thematic gardens, among which the rose garden and the stone garden are especially popular. Impressive with its fresh colors and the alley of rhododendrons.
Against the background of reflecting the sky lakes and ponds of the garden, various decorations look very bizarre - Indian totems, sculptures and a Korean labyrinth.
