The park was originally established in 1940 to preserve the old Douglas Spruce Forest. The area of the park is 440 hectares, among which there are 6 kilometers of pedestrian routes along its perimeter.

The nature of the park of extraordinary beauty. There are impressive waterfalls, rocky gorges, vast forests and shaded trails. There are many places for a picnic in the park, and you can also swim in the lake or come here to fish. Sometimes lovers of sailing come here, because sometimes there is a tailwind, strong enough and rapid for dispersing sailing boats or yachts.

But boating is not allowed throughout the lake. This is due to the rapid current and rapids, which are located near the waterfalls.
