Spanish Banks Beach Line
4707 North West Marine Drive, Vancouver, Canada
Description:
The Spanish Banks beach line is part of the urban area and consists of 3 combined beaches: east, west and central Spanish Banks. On the west side, the beach borders the University of British Columbia, and on the east - another beach.
The original name of the beaches was given in honor of the discoverers of this area - the Spaniards, who in 1791 marked these places on their maps. Officially, the territory of the beach was recorded in 1859.
Currently, the beach is framed by a green area, very popular among lovers of outdoor walks, and on its territory they arrange picnics, play football and volleyball - for this purpose there are 8 sites in the eastern and western zones. In the western part it is forbidden to include music.
Kitting and skimboarding lovers also love this beach line, especially its western part. Swimming enthusiasts prefer the Eastern Spanish Banks.
The beach of Spanish Banks is also considered one of the safest beaches: lifeguards are constantly working here.
