Empire Stadium

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Description:

Empire Stadium was built in Vancouver in 1954 and was intended for the Commonwealth Games. The field of the stadium until 1970 was sown with natural grass and mowed in time. The number of seats at the opening was 32,375, but after 1974 this number decreased to 30,229.

Not only large-scale sports competitions, but also musical events were held at the stadium. There was a concert by Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
