The cable car over Vancouver
About the company:
The cable car over Vancouver is the newest cable car connecting two Vancouver ski resorts: Whistler and Blackcomb.
Called the funicular Peak 2 Peak Gondola and immediately after its opening broke three world records: as the world's largest interval between the supports of the cable car, the highest height of the cable car of this type - 436 meters above the valley and as the longest continuous lifting system in the world. For the sake of this adventure, even those who do not ski come here.
Previously, each of the resort areas could only be climbed separately. It was necessary to go down to the common village to the central square, where lifts diverge on both mountains. Now visitors have the opportunity to move from one resort to another without going down, which is colossal convenient.
It is worth emphasizing that literally on the same days as the Peak 2 Peak Gondola was commissioned, an accident occurred on the old Excalibur cable car. No one was seriously injured in the incident, but it is not being used.
