Little Mountain Park

The location of Little Mountain is the city of Winnipeg in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The park is located on the outskirts of the city.

The area officially became a park in 1965. The park has about 160 acres of woodland and open spaces just a short walk from downtown Winnipeg. In 1986, a limestone quarry was founded here. Now the quarry is abandoned, but its remains can be seen today. One of the mines of the old quarry turned into a rather picturesque pond, the views of which were chosen by picnic lovers.

In summer, the park is covered with flowers. For those who want not only to admire nature, but also to actively spend time there are fields for sports games. The park has a large number of pedestrian and ski paths. In the corners of the park you can see owls, foxes and gophers. Dog owners also love Little Mountain – in some parts of the park you can walk pets without a leash.
