Winnipeg Railway Museum

123 Main Street, Winnipeg, Canada

About the company:

The Winnipeg Railroad Museum is a non-profit organization overseen by volunteers from the Midwest Railroad Workers Association.

The facility is located in the wagon depot of the Winnipeg Union Station and occupies the territory of two railway tracks and two platforms. The museum is dedicated to the history and development of railways in Western Canada.

In a fairly extensive collection there is the first locomotive of the Canadian railways, various old cars, draughts, track machines and other railway equipment. Visitors can also see a model railway and buy souvenirs with railway paraphernalia at a souvenir shop.

The museum also offers rental space for weddings, parties, photo shoots and other events in an unusual setting.
