Snake Park

Museum Hill, Nairobi, Kenya

Description:

The park received its first visitors in 1961. It was created to educate the local population and tourists about snakes and reptiles living on the African continent.

For example, in the local lake live Nile crocodiles, and in the serpentary there are inhabitants whose bites can be deadly to humans, for example, the black mamba and African viper. There are more than a hundred reptiles in the park.

In addition, park workers take care of found, confiscated and rescued reptiles.

Octopuses are brought here, as well as interactive classes with safe reptiles and amphibians. Various species of birds live here, and you can feed live crocodile fish.

In 2010, about 123,000 people visited the serpentary.

The museum is open daily from half past ten in the morning to six in the evening.
