Agia Napa

Pirate caves

Ayia Napa, Cyprus

Description:

Cyprus is attractive not only for its historical monuments, but also natural, amazingly beautiful creations. For example, the Pirate Caves in Ayia Napa.

Pirate caves are called “pirate”, as according to legend, it was in the local waters that sea robbers and smugglers sailed. In natural caves, according to legend, they hid their good.

Today the place is very attractive for tourists. The beauty here is indescribable. Over the centuries, the winds and sea have created amazingly beautiful cave grottoes from the sandy shore.

Next to the grottoes runs the ship "Black Pearl", stylized pirate ship. A ticket for the ship costs about five euros.

Getting to the caves from land is very difficult - only daredevils dare to jump into the water from the shore. Both the shore and the bottom are quite dangerous for diving and swimming. It is much more reasonable to get to the caves from the water on the same, for example, the Black Pearl.
