The Orthodox Greek world is rich in ancient temples. In Cyprus, near the tourist Paphos, there is a small resort town of Agios Georgias, with the church of the same name.
The church rises on a rocky shore. From the observation deck near the temple there is an observation deck, which offers stunning views of the clean beach, the azure sea and the picturesque island of Geronisos.
The church of Agios Georgios (the name of St. George the Victorious) without domes, small in size, but the interior is surprisingly light, simple and cozy.
Near the church, a small mini-market offers visitors honey, candies, lucum, souvenirs.
You can reach the church from Paphos in just 25-30 minutes (20 km) along the sea, through the beach of Coral Bay.
