Hamam Museum in Paphos
Poseidonos Ave, Paphos, Cyprus
About the company:
The Hamam Museum in Paphos is a small museum located in an old building dedicated to baths and hygiene.
The building of this museum is made of stone and has original round roofs. The date of construction of the building is not known, approximately it is the XIII century. Here in ancient times there was a Turkish bath - hamam, where hygienic procedures were carried out by nobles.
Until a few years ago, the building could only be viewed from the outside due to its crumbling condition. However, at the moment the building has been overhauled and now there is an exhibition where you can get acquainted with bathing devices and traditions of hygiene in different times.
