Mountain Cyprus (Troodos, Kykkos)
Description:
The tour begins, as a rule, in the city of Limassol, and first we move to the Troodos mountain range. Passing through the villages, we make short stops at local bazaars, where fruit, nuts, butter and other non-industrial products are sold.
A visit to UNESCO churches is included in the itinerary, and we will be able to touch the prayer shrines of the island. Approaching the monastery of Kykkos, we listen to the history of its origin and the legend of the acquisition of the icon of the Virgin, written by St. George. Luke. When passing viewing sites, we make stops to view the surrounding area and photography.
Residents of mountain villages have preserved ancient recipes of Cypriot cuisine, and on the way back, a stop is planned at a local tavern. If desired, you can visit the winery and tasting.
