The ancient village of Omodos is famous for a variety of attractions. For example, it is one of the most ancient monasteries of Cyprus - the monastery of the Holy Cross, where the Ties of Christ, part of the Life-Creating Cross, the Head of the Apostle Philip are kept. In the monastery you can also visit a small museum of Byzantine icons, as well as an exhibition of ancient photographs and a cozy ethnographic museum.

Omodos is also famous for its oldest winery on the island, where you can taste beautiful Cypriot wines and other traditional products of Cyprus.

Nobody leaves indifferent a visit to the exhibition-store of the master of colored glass. Unique things and souvenirs you can buy here.

In the bakery of the village of Omodos, you will taste fresh churchella and kazinaki, delicious nuts and carob syrup, and of course, fresh bread and pastries.

Pilgrims come to the Trooditissa monastery to venerate the famous icon of the Virgin, found many centuries ago in the mountains of Troodos, and to collect the purest water from a mountain stream. In this monastery is kept the man-made belt of the Virgin, healing from infertility and other serious diseases.

On a hot summer day, it is very pleasant to find yourself in the coolness of the high-mountain coniferous forests of Cyprus, walk along mountain trails, admire stunning views from a height of 2000 meters above sea level, listen to the noise of a mountain stream and wash with ice water from the waterfall. Wear comfortable shoes - you will have a short walk in the mountains.

The picturesque village of Lania is beautiful at any time of the year. Here you will get acquainted with the life of local residents, and also learn why this village is called the “village of artists”.
