Established by the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of April 12, 2006 No. 262, taking into account the significant contribution of tax service employees to the socio-economic development of the republic and in order to ensure the continuity of the traditions of the Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan was established in 1990 on the basis of the Higher Department of State Revenue of the Ministry of Finance. By the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic of April 14, 2005, the State Tax Inspectorate was transferred to the direct subordination of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. In accordance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the structure of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic" of February 6, 2007 No. 12, the State Committee on Taxes and Duties was formed on the basis of the State Research Institute under the Government.
