Established by Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of October 28, 1994 No. 795, taking into account the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and taking into account that on July 15, 1926, a professional fire brigade was organized for the first time in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On June 15, 1926, the first professional fire brigade in Frunze was established by the decision of the regional session of the Frunze City Council. Its staff consisted of 9 people, armed with four horse-drawn carriages and one car. In the south of the republic, a similar service appeared three years later.

By the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, Kyrgyz firefighters had 22 cars, 26 pumps and 755 hand pumps.

Since 1991, the country's firefighters have eliminated about 35,000 fires, in which more than 800 people died and about 1,500 received injuries and burns of varying severity. The damage from these fires exceeded 1.5 billion soms.

Meanwhile, during this period, firefighters rescued more than 2,000 people and preserved property worth about 16 billion soms.

The main causes of fires are careless handling of fire, pranks of children and violation of fire safety rules during the operation of electrical equipment. It is in the residential sector that more than sixty percent of fires occur annually.
