On this day in 1895, the Russian physicist Alexander Stepanovich Popov carried out the first radio communication session and demonstrated to the world the first radio receiver.
The holiday was established by the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of April 17, 1995 No. 135, taking into account the proposals of the enterprises of the Ministry of Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, taking into account that telecommunications, postal communication, television and radio broadcasting are one of the important factors in the development of the economy of the republic.
