Description:
From 1931 to 1949, Children’s Day in China was celebrated on April 4, but after the formation of the PRC, in order to “instill in the young masters of the new China a spirit of international cohesion”, it was decided to cancel the celebration of Children’s Day on April 4 and set a new date for this holiday – June 1, in accordance with the international one.

Now on June 1, various festive events for children are held in China, concerts, drawing competitions are organized, and the distribution of gifts for children living in orphanages is organized in different provinces. Many museums, exhibitions, parks, cinemas are open for free visits to children. Parents give their children presents and take them to cafes and parks (many Chinese children especially love McDonald’s).
