New port in Qingdao
Description:
The new port in Qingdao is located in the northeastern part of China, on the coast of the Yellow Sea. Qingdao is considered one of the main cities of China, and its name means “green island”.
The new port was built ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which spurred the construction of a large number of major transport infrastructure.
The new port is located near the old one, which is part-time naval base of the Northern Fleet of the Chinese Navy. Here you can see submarines and large warships moored next to tankers and bulk carriers.
The building of the New Port deserves special attention, the magnificent illumination of which shines in the dark for tens of kilometers around. Qingdao New Port is visited by both large cruise ships and small private water transport. Near the passenger terminal there are countless berths for boats and yachts.
