18 Dong Hai Xi Lu, DongBuShangQuan, Shi Nan Qu, Qingdao, Shandong, China

Description:

One of the many attractions of the Chinese city of Qingdao is the Fourth May Square, located between the new government building and the Fushan Bay shopping center. The square is divided into two parts - Shizhengting and Guangchang, also adjoining a small beautiful park.

It was named after the nationwide protest “May Fourth Movement”, which was once held in Qingdao. The most notable element in the square of the Fourth of May is the sculpture "May Wind", which has a unique spiral shape.

The square is now a popular tourist destination and borders the city government to the north, the sea to the south and residential and commercial buildings to the rest. On special days, solemn events are held on the Fourth May Square, often young people come here to launch kites. Not far from here is the Music Square and the Olympic sailing venue.
